Visteon debuts SmartCore cockpit domain controller on new Mercedes-Benz A-Class
US supplier claims SmartCore to be the world’s first CDC that integrates instrument cluster, infotainment system and other emerging technologies for the cockpit on a single SOC
Visteon has debuted its SmartCore cockpit domain controller (CDC) on the all-new Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which went sale in Europe earlier this month, the US-based supplier said in a press release on 25 September. In the new A-Class, SmartCore powers the vehicle’s instrument cluster and infotainment displays through an intuitive human-machine interface (HMI), allowing drivers to personalize their experience with simple swipe of the touchscreen, the touchpad or remote control on the steering wheel.
