GM appoints Dan Amman CEO of self-driving vehicle unit Cruise Automation
As CEO, Amman will lead commercialization of autonomous driving at the US automaker
GM has appointed its president Dan Amman as CEO of Cruise Automation, the self-driving vehicle unit of the company, the automaker said in a press release on 29 November. As CEO, Amman will lead commercialization of autonomous driving at the US automaker. Kyle Vogt, co-founder of Cruise, who is also currently serving at its CEO will become president and chief technology officer (CTO) and will lead technology development at Cruise. The appointments will be effective 1 January 2019.
