Diodes acquires Texas Instruments’ wafer fab facility in Scotland
Acquisition offers Diodes additional wafer fab capacity to meet growing demand for solutions from its automotive customers
Diodes has reached an agreement to acquire Texas Instruments’ (TI) wafer fabrication facility and operations located in Greenock, Scotland (GAFB), the US-based company said in a press release on 4 February. The acquisition is expected to complete, subject to customary closing conditions, by the end of first quarter 2019. Diodes has also entered a multi-year wafer supply agreement to produce TI’s analog products from the Greenock facility.
