Offering of new shares increase Infineon’s share capital by 10%

Infineon has raised EUR1.54 billion (USD1.73 billion) through a private placement of its shares with institutional investors, the Germany-based company said in a press release on 17 June. The company placed 112.8 million of no par value ordinary registered shares at a placement price of EUR13.70 per share. Infineon will use the net proceeds from the capital increase to partially fund the acquisition of Cypress Semiconductor, announced earlier this month.
