ams submits proposal for takeover offer to OSRAM
Acquisition will create a global leader in sensor solutions and phonetics with about EUR5 billion in revenue
Austrian electronics company ams has submitted an all-cash offer to acquire OSRAM in a deal that values the Germany-based lighting supplier at EUR3.7 billion (USD4.1 billion), the company said in a press release on 11 August. ams is offering to pay EUR38.50 per share to acquire 100% of the share capital of OSRAM.
