Magna opens new electronics facility in US
Canadian supplier invested nearly USD50 million in the 230,000- square foot facility which will produce vision-based driver assistance systems
Magna has inaugurated a new electronics manufacturing facility in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan, United States, the company said in a press release on 14 August. Magna invested nearly USD50 million in the 230,000-square foot facility in which the Canadian supplier has consolidated operations previously managed at its three nearby locations. The new facility will strengthen Magna’s global positions in vision-based driver assistance systems. It will allow the company to accelerate large scale deployment of future technologies such as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), advanced robotics and micro-LED lighting.
