Apple in talks with China’s CATL, BYD for EV battery supplies
Apple has insisted that the EV batteries be made in the US
iPhone maker Apple Inc is in talks with China’s lithium ion (Li-ion) battery manufacturers Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd (CATL) and BYD Company on supply of battery for its planned electric vehicles (EVs), Reuters reported on June 9.
