Stellantis, LG Energy Solution name battery JV as NextStar Energy
The two companies have appointed Danies Lee as the CEO of the new JV, which plans to set up a 45 GWh battery plant in Canada
Italian – American carmaker Stellantis and its battery partner LG Energy Solution announced on 2 June 2022 that their joint venture company will be officially called as NextStar Energy Inc. The two companies also said that Danies Lee has been appointed as the chief executive officer of the new JV company, which will set up a new lithium-ion battery production plant in Ontario, Canada.
