BYD’s planned Yichun operations will entail a 30GWh gigafactory and a mining project that is expected to produce 100,000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate and ceramic clay

China’s largest EV maker BYD has signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Yichun city government in Jiangxi province in China to set up its battery manufacturing as well as material mining operations in the city, a news report published by CnEVPost on 15 August 2022 said, citing a press release issued by the local government.
