Dongfeng's new project introduces the world’s largest die-casting machine to enhance NEV production efficiency and reduce component costs

Mainland Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor has launched a new die-casting project to enhance its capabilities in manufacturing car body parts for new-energy vehicles (NEVs). The automaker has introduced what it claims to be the world's largest integrated die-casting machine, a 16,000-metric-ton giant, to produce chassis components and battery housings for NEVs, according to China Daily.
