Mercedes-Benz has embarked on a significant initiative to future-proof its IT infrastructure through a strategic partnership with SAP, by migrating to RISE with SAP. This collaboration, formalized in December 2024 with a contract signing, is aimed at accelerating Mercedes-Benz's digital transformation to enhance innovation and flexibility within the company. A gradual implementation of this migration has commenced, focusing on relocating key SAP applications across the value chain to the cloud computing platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS). This move is intended to standardize and streamline Mercedes-Benz's IT landscape significantly.
