Karma Automotive-Intel partnership: Looking to break the siloes in SDV development
The collaboration, if well leveraged, can potentially freshen up the industry’s current approach towards software-defined vehicle (SDV) development, as well as help Intel further its traction in the automotive chip and compute platforms market.
A significant development in the world of software-defined vehicles (SDV) took place last August when Karma Automotive announced a collaboration with Intel Corporation for the joint development of SDV architecture. The underlying significance of this partnership can be gauged from the fact that the to-be-developed architecture will underpin Karma’s future electric vehicle models, including the Karman Kaveya super coupe, due in 2026.
