BYD God’s Eye system triggers momentum in the Level 2+ market
According to forecasts from S&P Global Mobility, BYD single-handedly added around 2.3 million units of Level 2+ vehicles compared with the last forecast version before the God’s Eye announcement, with around 90% of these vehicles featuring the God’s Eye C system.
BYD Auto recently unveiled its new “God’s Eye” advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which will be integrated across all its models — including subsidiary brands Denza, Fangchengbao and Yangwang, as well as the affordable Seagull hatchback priced at 70,000 Chinese yuan (about $9,600). More recently, BYD has begun offering wide-ranging price discounts of about 10% to 30% on its Dynasty and Ocean lineup of models in China until June 30, reducing the Seagull’s price to 55,800 Chinese yuan (about $7,785).
