Batteries will be built from cells manufactured at Toyota's newly opened battery plant in Kentucky

Toyota is planning to assemble its own battery packs at its Ontario plants for the production of the all-new 2026 RAV4 SUV, which will be launched exclusively as a hybrid model. As part of these preparations, Toyota will add battery-pack assembly lines to its Ontario facilities.
