Motor AI secures $20 million funding to advance Level 4 autonomous vehicles in Germany
The funding supports regulatory approval and deployment of Motor AI's cognitive-based autonomous vehicles on German roads
MOTOR Ai, a company focused on autonomous vehicles, has announced a $20 million seed funding round led by Segenia Capital and eCAPITAL, with contributions from German high-net-worth individuals. The funds will support the company's efforts to achieve type approval for public roads and begin deploying its Level 4 autonomous vehicles, initially on German public roads. Unlike other companies that rely heavily on data collection and black-box prediction models, MOTOR Ai emphasizes a transparent and certifiable approach to autonomy, underpinned by a cognitive architecture based on active inference from neuroscience. This allows the vehicles to make structured and transparent decisions, aligning with human and regulatory expectations.
