Continental plans to spin off automotive group amid strong Q2 2025 earnings
The company intends to spin off the Automotive group sector into an independent company by September 2025
Continental demonstrated resilience in the second quarter of 2025, with notable improvements in the Automotive group sector's earnings compared to the previous year and the start of 2025. Despite challenges from tariffs and exchange rates, the Tires group sector maintained a strong double-digit adjusted EBIT margin, while ContiTech increased its adjusted EBIT margin compared to the first-quarter.
