BYD contemplating battery plant in Europe to back higher EV production – report

The company is building a factory in Hungary, set to begin operations by the end of 2025, and another in Turkey, scheduled to launch in 2026

Leading mainland Chinese automaker BYD plans to establish battery production in Europe to match its expanding regional vehicle manufacturing, the group’s special adviser for Europe said Sept. 24, according to a Reuters report on the same date.
