NHTSA issues recall for 19,000 Nissan Leaf EVs over charging fire hazard
Nissan North America will update the battery software at no cost to the owners
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall on Oct. 1 for 2021–2022 Nissan Leaf models equipped with Level 3 quick charging ports due to a potential battery fire risk.
