Stellantis' Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Michigan has halted production for at least three weeks due to a shortage of aluminum caused by a fire at Novelis Inc.'s Oswego plant in New York, The Detroit News reported Oct. 16, citing a local United Auto Workers union official. The fire occurred Sept. 16, impacting the supply of aluminum, which is a critical material for producing Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer full-size SUVs.
