Volkswagen has warned its workers of potential production stoppages due to ongoing supply chain issues, following a dispute involving Dutch chipmaker Nexperia. The Dutch government took control of Nexperia, which is owned by China, citing intellectual property concerns, while China has placed restrictions on exporting necessary products to European car manufacturers. Although Volkswagen has not yet been directly affected by chip shortages, it acknowledged the possibility of future impacts on production.
