Tesla explores building large semiconductor fabrication facility for AI chips with potential Intel collaboration
Elon Musk emphasizes the need for a 'terafab' amid current chip supply insufficiencies, aiming to enhance autonomous technology and optimize Tesla's software
Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced plans for potentially building a large semiconductor fabrication facility for artificial intelligence chips. At the company's annual meeting, Musk discussed Tesla's fifth-generation AI chip, which is intended to advance their autonomous technology, and suggested the possibility of collaboration with Intel, though no agreement has been finalized.
