Europe's largest automaker avoids chip shortages amid ongoing trade tension

Thomas Schaefer, head of the VW brand, confirmed that Volkswagen has successfully secured the necessary supply of chips for its production. Other automakers and suppliers are facing continued difficulties due to a chip supply shortage stemming from a trade dispute over the manufacturer Nexperia. Schaefer stated on Nov. 18 that Europe's largest automaker learned valuable lessons from the chip crisis that followed the COVID-19 pandemic, and they are not experiencing shortages.
