GM has announced extended shutdowns at a time when the US automotive market is struggling with low vehicle demand, particularly for SUVs and pickup trucks

General Motors (GM) has announced plans to suspend manufacturing operations at its Flint Assembly plant in Michigan, US, which produces heavy-duty Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, for several weeks.
