Mainland China's MIIT has announced that carmakers will be required to fit clearly visible door handles with mechanical release mechanisms on every door

Mainland China has become the first country to formally restrict hidden car door handles, moving to address growing safety concerns around a design trend popularized by Tesla and widely adopted across the electric vehicle industry.
