The WLTP cycle is considered more representative of real-world driving conditions compared to the MIDC

The Indian government has notified the implementation of the Worldwide Harmonized Light-duty Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) for measuring vehicle emissions under Bharat Stage 6 (BS-6) norms for M1 and M2 vehicle categories starting in April 2027.
