A stabilizer bar, also known as an antiroll bar or sway bar, is an integral part of a vehicle’s suspension system. It plays a key role in reducing body roll during sharp cornering, turning or when driving on uneven surfaces by transferring the load from one wheel to the other. When a vehicle takes a turn, the centrifugal force causes the driver and other occupants to lean outward, shifting weight to the outside wheels. The stabilizer bar counteracts this movement by transferring some of the force to the inside wheels. This reduces body roll for the driver and other occupants, enhancing driving and riding comfort.
