CLEPA survey shows automotive suppliers face higher profitability challenges in 2026
The association urges automotive suppliers in Europe to take decisive action amid the profitability crisis, including temporary diversification into adjacent sectors
Nearly one in four automotive suppliers in Europe expects to report losses in 2026, the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) reported in its Spring 2026 Pulse Check survey. According to the survey, 76% of automotive suppliers anticipate profitability below the sustainable level of 5%, a slight decline from the 70% noted in the previous survey in autumn 2025. Additionally, the percentage of suppliers expecting negative profitability has risen to 24%, up from 15%.
