Asahi Kasei delays Canada battery materials plant start amid weaker North American EV outlook
The company will rely on separator exports from Japan and target AI data center demand while its US coating facility remains on schedule
Asahi Kasei has decided to postpone the startup of its Canada battery materials plant to 2029 or later after Honda Motor deferred its Ontario electric vehicle plans, according to Nikkei Asia.
