Seven private operators will deploy 24 DC fast-charging sites with 126 ports along key Oregon highways within 12–18 months

The government of Oregon has awarded $16.7 million in federal grants to seven private companies to deploy 24 DC fast-charging stations across the state, marking the second phase of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) programme's rollout in the region. Announced by the Oregon Department of Transportation Climate Office, the stations are expected to provide 126 charging ports along Interstate 84 and US Highways 20, 26, 97 and 101 over the next 12 to 18 months.
