Waymo expands autonomous vehicle operations to Portland
The company will begin manual driving to map local conditions while collaborating with officials and safety advocates on future deployment
Waymo announced that it is expanding to Portland, Oregon, describing the city's history of urban design, independent spirit and commitment to sustainable, forward-thinking living as making it an appropriate location for its next phase of operations.
