Proterra adds US cell option to Onyx battery platform to boost domestic content
The company is expanding localized battery production and onshoring components to enhance supply chain resilience
Proterra announced that its Onyx battery platform will be available with a US cell option, with shipments beginning in the first quarter of 2027, as part of a strategic focus and investment to localize and de-risk battery materials and components.
