Autoliv to discontinue manufacturing operations in Turkey as part of EMEA capacity alignment
Production at the Turkish facility will be moved to Autoliv's other existing facilities in the EMEA region, with its complete closure anticipated in the first half of 2028
On May 8, Autoliv announced its decision to gradually discontinue manufacturing in Turkey, which includes the production of steering wheels, airbags, and seatbelts. This change is expected to affect approximately 2,200 employees. Production at the company’s facility, located in the Gebze district of Kocaeli province in northwestern Turkey, will be moved to Autoliv's other existing facilities in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, with its complete closure anticipated in the first half of 2028.
