City of Darwin seeks partner to roll out public EV charging network

The Darwin council has opened requests for proposals to deliver long-term, private-sector-led charging infrastructure supporting its 2030 transport and climate strategies

The City of Darwin is inviting proposals from suitably qualified providers to deliver a network of public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the municipality. The Request for Proposal seeks a long-term partner to design, build, finance, install, operate, maintain and monitor EV charging infrastructure on Council land, supporting the growing uptake of EVs across the Northern Territory. Requests for Proposal opened on May 12, and close on June 2, 2026.
