Uber is backing partnerships with Rivian, Lucid and Nuro, shifting from a pure platform strategy to building its own global robo-taxi network

Uber has publicly criticized its robo-taxi partner Waymo while committing more than $10 billion to develop its own autonomous vehicle fleet with partners including Rivian, Lucid and Nuro, according to a May 15 report by Electrek.
