The new pouch-format cell targets higher energy density, ultrafast charging and lower manufacturing costs using a hybrid polymer electrolyte architecture

Spanish battery developer Basquevolt has introduced a next-generation lithium-metal battery cell for electric vehicles, the BQV400L, claiming a gravimetric energy density of more than 400 watt-hours per kilogram (Wh/kg) and compatibility with existing gigafactory manufacturing infrastructure.
