Tesla withdraws termination notice on Syrah graphite supply agreement after AAM quality dispute
Syrah confirms Tesla now deems its Vidalia active anode material samples as conforming, though the automaker retains rights to end the graphite supply deal if final qualification fails
Australia's Syrah Resources said that Tesla has withdrawn a notice of intent to terminate their graphite supply agreement over an alleged quality default, after accepting that Syrah is now producing conforming active anode material (AAM) samples. Under their 2021 contract, Syrah aimed to supply 8,000 metric tons of graphite anode materials over a four-year period from its Vidalia plant in Louisiana.
