GlobalFoundries completes acquisition of Synopsys ARC Processor IP business
The deal brings ARC into the company’s MIPS unit, expanding its physical AI portfolio with a RISC-V processor IP suite
GlobalFoundries (GF) said it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Synopsys' ARC Processor IP Solutions business, with GF taking ownership of the ARC processor instrument panel (IP) business while Synopsys continues to expand its interface and foundation IP portfolio.
