The statute builds on Colorado's Battery Stewardship Act

Colorado has enacted Senate Bill 26-003, a June 4 measure signed by Gov. Jared Polis that creates an extended producer responsibility (EPR) framework for large-format propulsion batteries from electric and hybrid vehicles and sets US-first reporting and critical mineral recovery benchmarks.
