Bosch and CARIAD complete AI-based driving software stack for series production
The stack supports ADAS functions up to Level 2 and is planned for Volkswagen’s VW ID.EVERY1 in 2027
Bosch and Volkswagen (VW) Group's software unit CARIAD have completed the joint development of assisted and automated driving functions under their Automated Driving Alliance. The partners have developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-based software stack that can be deployed across different vehicle segments, from entry-level to premium models, and on both electric and internal combustion engine platforms. The technology will be available to both companies for future production programs. VW has indicated that the ID.EVERY1, scheduled for production in 2027, will incorporate technology developed through the alliance.
