Infineon has opened its Smart Power Fab in Dresden with investment of €5 billion; creating 1,000 direct jobs and doubling manufacturing capacity

Infineon Technologies has opened its Smart Power Fab in Dresden several months ahead of schedule. The facility represents a €5 billion investment, the largest in the company’s history, and is expected to create 1,000 direct jobs. The expansion doubles Infineon’s manufacturing capacity in Dresden, making it the company’s largest production site for power semiconductors and analog/mixed-signal technologies.
