Apollo Tyres is widening the use of AI and digital tools across manufacturing plants
The Indian tire-maker has completed the rollout of its in-house Advanced Manufacturing Execution System (AMES), across all major manufacturing plants.
Apollo Tyres said an AI-based power-bidding application at its Andhra Pradesh plant in India saved more than 10 million rupees ($104,815) within three months as it expands digital tools across factories, Autocar Professional reported July 6. The Indian tire-maker is widening the use of digital and AI-led systems after technology used in tire curing shortened production cycles. Cure data analysis through digital technologies has reduced curing cycle times and is being expanded across plants.
