The Illawarra plant will produce up to 230 metric tons per annum of SiCx material and may be developed at BlueScope’s Port Kembla precinct
Sicona Battery Technologies has secured A$45 million from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) to build and operate its first commercial-scale silicon-carbon battery anode material facility in Australia's Illawarra region.
