Xpeng completes first robo-taxi closed beta ride in Guangzhou
CEO He Xiaopeng hailed the GX-based vehicle from Xpeng’s office as pilot operations are planned for the second half of this year
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng has reached a new milestone in its autonomous driving ambitions by launching the closed beta phase of its robo-taxi service. The company’s chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, became the first passenger to complete a ride using the system, marking the start of internal testing for Xpeng’s autonomous ride-hailing platform.
