Mainland China issues mandatory standard for combined driver assistance systems
The rules cover single-lane, multilane and navigation-assisted systems, setting requirements for functions, data recording, safety guarantees and user training
Mainland China will enforce a mandatory national safety standard for combined driver assistance systems in intelligent and connected vehicles from Jan. 1, 2027, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said on July 2, 2026.
