The SPM Rotor offers about 50% higher output, while the Spring-Fixed IPM Rotor uses leaf springs to improve magnet removal and recyclability
NHK Spring Co. and Daido Steel Co. have jointly developed two new types of rotors for traction motors used in electric vehicles.
