Hyundai Motor, SK On JV company begins mass production of EV batteries in the US

The $5-billion SK On-Hyundai Motor joint venture employs 3,500 people and is expected to have an annual capacity of 35 GWh, which is enough for about 300,000 EVs.

Hyundai SK Battery Manufacturing America (HSBMA), a $5-billion battery venture between SK On and Hyundai Motor Group, has started mass production in Georgia, US, and is supplying batteries to Hyundai’s Metaplant America.
