Volvo pays US$1,900 to Norwegian EX90, ES90 owners over lidar drop
The automaker ended its Luminar partnership, dropped planned lidar-based functions and will phase out data collection in delivered vehicles
Volvo Cars will pay 18,000 Norwegian kroner (US$1,900) to each Norwegian owner of a lidar-equipped EX90 or ES90 after abandoning Luminar-supplied lidar technology and related features.
