According to Ford, a remedy is still under development, and it is unclear when a fix will be available

Ford Motor is recalling almost 80,000 2026–27 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator sport utility vehicles in the US because an unoccupied driver's seat may unexpectedly recline and trap a second-row passenger, The Detroit News reported on July 28.
