Porsche introduces gallium nitride for high-end automotive audio solutions
Developed with the University of Stuttgart, the technology performs voltage conversion for a 400-watt amplifier and makes the heat sink about 20% lighter.
Porsche said gallium nitride chip technology will enter series production in a future vehicle in 2027 to power a 400-watt Burmester subwoofer amplifier.
