Generative AI fast becoming foundational for vehicle cockpits

Over the medium term, generative AI is likely to become embedded throughout automotive engineering, simulation, manufacturing and vehicle software development.

While earlier automotive AI applications were primarily based on computer vision, machine learning and rule-based algorithms, GenAI introduces a new capability—the ability to understand natural language, generate responses and content, reason across large volumes of information, interact across multiple modalities and increasingly take actions on behalf of users.
